These pickle and ham pinwheels are a quick, easy, and delicious snack idea that combines tangy pickles, creamy cheese, and savory ham for a flavor-packed treat.

Ingredients

  • Thinly sliced deli ham (e.g., honey ham, black forest, or smoked ham)
  • Softened cream cheese (plain or flavored like garlic herb)
  • Whole dill pickles
  • Flour tortillas (soft and fresh, or low-carb/gluten-free)
  • Optional seasonings: garlic powder or onion powder

Instructions

  1. Lay out your flour tortillas on a clean surface at room temperature.
  2. Spread softened cream cheese evenly across each tortilla. Sprinkle with garlic or onion powder if desired.
  3. Place slices of ham over the cream cheese, covering the surface but leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Lay a whole dill pickle at one end of the tortilla. Slice pickles in half lengthwise if they are extra large.
  5. Carefully roll the tortilla into a tight log, starting at the end with the pickle. Press gently to ensure everything holds together.
  6. Wrap the rolled tortilla in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Once chilled, remove the plastic wrap and slice the roll into 1-inch thick pinwheels using a sharp knife.
  8. Arrange the pinwheels on a serving platter and enjoy!

Notes

Chill the rolled tortillas before slicing for cleaner cuts. Avoid overfilling the tortillas to prevent them from breaking. Customize the flavor with fresh herbs or spicy condiments.
