A quick and easy recipe for juicy chicken breasts cooked in a rich, garlicky butter sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights or special dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Once the oil is shimmering, add the chicken breasts to the skillet. Sear them for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Lower the heat to medium and add 3 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Let it melt completely.
  5. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  6. Pour in 1/2 cup of chicken broth and stir to combine. Scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  7. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon some of the garlic butter sauce over them.
  8. Cover the skillet and let the chicken simmer for 8-10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For even cooking, pound thick chicken breasts to an even thickness. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C). Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving to retain juiciness.
