  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 inch thick)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced or finely chopped
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and add 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and stir to combine. Gradually add 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some sauce over each piece. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  8. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
