A quick and easy party snack combining creamy cream cheese with the bold flavors of everything bagel seasoning for a delicious twist on classic deviled eggs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 4 ounces (115 grams) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (or substitute with Greek yogurt)
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Smoked paprika, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place 12 large eggs in a single layer in a medium saucepan. Cover with cold water about an inch above the eggs. Bring to a rolling boil over medium-high heat, then cover the pot and remove from heat. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Drain the hot water and immediately transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water. Let cool for 5-7 minutes. Gently tap each egg on the counter to crack the shell, then peel under running water. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  3. Slice each egg in half lengthwise and carefully remove yolks to a mixing bowl. Mash yolks with a fork until crumbly and smooth.
  4. Add softened cream cheese to the yolks. Blend thoroughly with a fork or whisk until creamy and lump-free.
  5. Stir in mayonnaise, yellow mustard, everything bagel seasoning, salt, and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Mix well and adjust seasoning if needed.
  6. Spoon or pipe the creamy yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
  7. Sprinkle smoked paprika and extra everything bagel seasoning over the filled eggs. Add finely chopped chives for color and freshness.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
  9. Serve chilled or at room temperature. Best enjoyed within 24 hours but can be stored up to 2 days refrigerated.

Notes

Use the off-heat sitting method to avoid overcooking eggs and achieve tender whites. Soften cream cheese before mixing to avoid lumps. Adjust everything bagel seasoning to taste as saltiness varies by brand. Chilling the eggs after filling enhances flavor melding. Piping the filling looks elegant but a spoon works fine. Store deviled eggs in an airtight container and consume within 2 days.
