A comforting slow cooker recipe featuring tender chicken, savory stuffing, and a creamy sauceβ€”perfect for cozy family dinners or busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 box stuffing mix (herb-seasoned recommended)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the slow cooker. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup and sour cream until smooth. Pour this mixture evenly over the chicken.
  4. In another bowl, mix the stuffing mix with melted butter and chicken broth until the stuffing is moistened but not soggy. Spread this evenly over the soup layer in the slow cooker.
  5. Cover the slow cooker with its lid and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  6. Once done, fluff the stuffing with a fork and serve alongside the chicken. Spoon some of the creamy sauce over the chicken for extra flavor.

Notes

[‘Layer ingredients carefully to ensure even cooking.’, ‘Use herb-seasoned stuffing for added flavor.’, ‘Check the chicken for doneness around the 6-hour mark on low.’, ‘Add frozen peas or diced carrots during the last hour for extra nutrients.’, ‘If the stuffing is too dry, add a splash of chicken broth. If too wet, leave the lid slightly ajar during the final 30 minutes of cooking.’]
