Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1 French baguette or Italian loaf (about 12 oz), sliced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, blend softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes until smooth.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch oven-safe dish or pie plate.
  4. Spoon pizza sauce over the cream cheese layer and swirl gently for even coverage.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the sauce.
  6. Scatter pepperoni slices across the top. Add diced green bell pepper and black olives if desired.
  7. Bake dip for 18-20 minutes, until cheese is melted, bubbling, and golden brown. Broil for 2 minutes for extra browning if desired.
  8. While dip bakes, slice baguette into 1/2-inch thick pieces. Mix melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt in a small bowl. Brush both sides of bread slices with garlic butter.
  9. Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp. Broil for 1 minute for extra crunch if desired.
  10. Let dip cool for 3-4 minutes before serving. Serve hot with garlic bread for dipping.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and mozzarella. You can prep the dip ahead and bake just before serving. Swap toppings to suit dietary needs—use gluten-free bread or veggie dippers for gluten-free, and omit pepperoni for vegetarian. Broil briefly for extra golden cheese. Leftovers reheat well in the oven or microwave.
